PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

January 10, "Beit Khana" International Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute welcomed history session conducted by Dr. Igor Shchupak for Hebrew teachers from different cities of Ukraine. In the "question-search-answers" form, participants discussed the issues of the Holocaust history in the comparison with the history of the Holodomor, the "Sovietization" of Western Ukraine in 1939-1941, and the life of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky. Particular attention was paid to the feat of the Ukrainian Righteous Among the Nations from Eastern Ukraine and Lviv, the peculiarities of the motivation of those who tried to rescue Jews from the extermination.

At the end of the lesson, the most active participants received editions on the history of the Jewish peoplea as a gift.
