On September 29-30, the final of the XIX International Contest of Creative Works for school and university students, postgraduates and teachers “Lessons of War and Holocaust – Lessons of Tolerance”, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies was held online. Despite the full-scale war unleashed by russia against Ukraine, this year we received about a hundred applications for participation in the Contest, 40 of which are in the finals. During the two competition days, the participants made analogies between the events of World War II and the modern Russian-Ukrainian war, genocides 20th century and the present, shared experiences and their vision of the "lessons of war and the Holocaust", which were reflected in exploratory studies and multimedia developments, poetry and essays, videos and drawings.
