On December 9, “Tkuma” Institute organized a study visit of Dnipro schoolchildren – students of the Dnipropetrovsk branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to Poltava.

During the historical and local lore expedition, the students got acquainted with the outstanding historical and architectural monuments of Poltava. The participants of the expedition studied the peculiarities of urban planning and architectural heritage of the city, compared the historical and economic differences in the development of Poltava and Dnipro. The students also determined the influence of culture and customs of national minorities, in particular the Jewish people, on the economic, political, social and cultural development of Poltava.

The next expedition for schoolchildren will take place in Kamyanske, Dnipropetrovsk region.
