On September 19, 2017, “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” organized and conducted educational seminar for history teachers from Dnipro.

 Teachers visited the Holocaust Museum and joined guided tour through new exhibitions, conducted by Vladyslav Bazylevsky, research associate. Iryna Piskariova, Educational Program Coordinator, presented educational and methodological publications prepared by “Tkuma” Institute, and talked about educational projects and programs that Ukrainian teachers can join. Together with Dr. Igor Shchupak, Director of “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum, the participants of the seminar discussed issues related to the reform of the school education system in Ukraine, changes to the curricula, the peculiarities of teaching the history of the Second World War and the Holocaust during school history lessons.
