On December 12, Dr. Igor Shchupak held a lecture-presentation on innovative and teaching methods, for future educators – students of “Bet Hana” International Humanitarian-Pedagogical Institute, as well as for teachers.

During the lecture, they discussed new standards of education (including historical ones), the experience of Western countries (Poland, Finland) in the educational process, academicism and gamification in history lessons. The ways of schoolchildren’s “activity changing” (especially the elementary classes) – in particular, with the help of interactivity and attention, sharing information in various forms (including gaming), different types of tasks achievement also were discussed. Talked about how to teach the modern generation of kids who are dominated by “clip-thinking”, how to remember and understand terms, concepts, facts.

At the end of the lecture Dr. Shchupak presented new author's history textbooks for 6th and 11th grade students. The use of multimedia technologies during the history lessons, visual content in educational literature caused a lively discussion. Teachers' great interest aroused the modern content of textbooks and teaching apparatus: the use of QR-codes, posters, caricatures, historical anecdotes to increase students' interest in learning history.
