"Tkuma" Institute has long experience of cooperation with Chernivtsi educational institutions thus on September 17-19, 2014 Dr Igor Shchupak, "Tkuma" Institute and Museum "Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine" Director, on the invitation of Chernivtsi Regional Institute of Advanced Teacher Training (CHIATT) visited the city and region and in cooperation with Vasyl Fedorak, History and Law Methodologist, and his professional team conducted series of educational events for teachers and students. 

On particulat on September 17 in Ispas village of Chernivtsi region the district pedagogical seminar "Studying World War II and the Holocaust History at Schools" was conducted within the framework of "Studying Holocaust History for Tolerant Society Formation" joint project with Yad Vashem. The program of the seminar included the work with teachers and methodologists of the district via lectures on the methodology of teaching World War II and the Holocaust history, presentation of "Tkuma" Institute and Museum activities, presentation of "Tkuma" Institute and its partners publications and the work with mobile exhibitions. 

On September 17-18 Igor Shchupak conducted special course on the Holocaust history "Fascism in the History and Now" for students of History Faculty of Yu. Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. "Tkuma" Institute DIrector discussed features of fascism, Nazism and communism as well as proposed several approaches to the characterisation of fascism and systematized them. 

Within the 3-day visit to Chernivtsi Dr Igor Shchupak established new contacts and discussed new projects with partners with heads of Bukovyna museums, scholars and teachers.
