During March 23-25, the 4th annual Taras Shevchenko conference, organized by Indiana University in Bloomington (USA) was held. During three days, scientists from such fields as history, literature, memory studies, linguistics, religious studies, political science and others shared their research and participated in discussions and round tables devoted to various issues of Ukrainian studies.

One of the scientific panels of the conference was devoted to issues of World War II and the Holocaust history. Dr. Petro Dolganov gave reports during the work of the section “World War II in Ukraine – new evidence, new research” (“Everyone was connected with the Holocaust, through relatives or in another way: testimonies of Ukrainian neighbors about the Holocaust in Volyn” ), Dr. Yuriy Skira (“Jewish women rescued by the Sisters of the Studio Charter during the Holocaust”), Prof. Natalia Zaletok (“Service of women in the armed forces during World War II in British and Soviet publications of the 1940s”). Dr. Igor Shchupak was invited to participate in the work of the section as a discussant.
