On July 16, 2017 International Inter-Religious Youth Seminar “The Ark-2017” was opened for Ukrainian, Polish, Jewish and Crimean Tatar youth. Traditionally the seminar is held at Holy Assumption Univ Lavra (Lviv region) and traditionally it is organized by General Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Lviv, “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies, Ukrainian Catholic University, NGO “Crimea-SOS”, H. Khotkevych City Palace of Culture.

The first integration trainings, discussions, and presentation of “Tkuma” Institute mobile educational exhibitions dedicated to the Holocaust have already been held. Participants talked about the nature of genocides, about the common and distinctive features, about the tragedies that are happening right now, despite the experience of the previous tragedies such as the Holocaust, the Holodomor, the deportation of the peoples of the Crimea, etc. Dr. Igor Shchupak, “Tkuma” Institute director, and Vladyslav Bazylevsky, research associate, became speakers and moderated the dialogue on these difficult topics .Later the seminar participants will join national presentations and educational trip to Poland, and many other interesting activities. The seminar will last until July 24.
