On April 17, 2016 Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” welcomed students-historians from Berdyansk State Pedagogical University. The visit was conducted on the initiative of Tamara Makarenko, Dean of Social and Humanitarian Faculty.

Special guided tour was conducted for the guests from Berdyansk. During the event young pedagogues could learn more about Jewish history in general and peculiarities of Ukrainian-Jewish relations during World War II and the Holocaust. Young people listened to guides with great interest and asked questions on the history and culture of Jewish people.

After the tour, the guests had the opportunity to discuss what they saw at the Museum and share their experiences. At the end of the meeting Iryna Radchenko, “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum Research Associate, made a presentation of both academic institutions and encouraged students to participate in educational projects and programs.
