Projects for Teachers

On March 19, another seminar of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and «Tkuma» Institute for history teachers was held in Kharkiv. Educational event was held at Kharkiv academy of continuing education on Valentina Sidorchuk, our regular partner initiative.

Together with Dr. Igor Shchupak educators talked about the peculiarities of teaching the Holocaust and other genocides, about standards of historical education and new textbooks.

«Historian-colleagues were actively involved in the dialogue; they made replicas and remarks, and, of course asked questions. Many people complained about the untimely delivery of textbooks to schools. Some teachers have convinced that they received not those textbooks, which they ordered. Our with Olena Burlaka and Iryna Piskariova textbooks were highly evaluated, and we have received suggestions and recommendations». – said Dr. Shchupak.
