On March 18, educational event of "Tkuma" Institute within the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was held in Vinnytsia. Educational event was held at city methodological center; about 50 history teachers, leaders of methodological associations from the city and region became the participants of the event. Irina Matkovska, history teacher, deputy director on the educational work of Vinnytsia secondary school number 18 made a lot of effort to organize the seminar.

The best methods of teaching history at school, taking into account the concept adopted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine «New Ukrainian School» were discussed. Iryna Piskariova, head of the educational department of the Institute, Vladislav Bazilevsky and Dr. Olena Ishchenko research staff presented new textbooks – World History for 11th forms (author – Dr. Igor Shchupak) and for 6th forms (authors - О. Burlaka, I. Piskariova, I. Shchupak). Modern content of textbooks and methodical apparatus caused a considerable interest of teachers: QR-codes usage, banners, cartoons, historical anecdotes in order to increase the interest of students in the history study.

In secondary school № 18 the Lesson of Memory for history teachers and school students was held. An interactive lesson was devoted to the regional aspect of the Holocaust in Vinnytsia region, the destruction peculiarities, resistance and rescue of people in this region.

On March 19, staff of the institute visited Lityn city Vinnytsia region. Meeting with district history teachers was held at the local Holocaust history museum (head – Liudmyla Gumenyuk). New ways, forms and means of forming pupils' competencies, the possibilities of their activity increasing in acquiring historical knowledge were discussed. The question of using sources in the course of teaching historical courses caused a lively discussion. The lesson where Vlad Bazylevsky, Olena Ishchenko shared the experience of the exhibition work was held for high-school museum students-activists.
