PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On April 16-17, 2018 “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum staff visited educational institutions of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. During the first day Iryna Piskariova, Educational Programs Coordinator, conducted educational session for the 5th grade students of Sloviansk secondary school # 11, while Valentyn Rybalka, the Holocaust Museum Research Associate, presented mobile exhibition banners for the 10th grade students and Mykola Bulanyi, Educational Programs Coordinator Assistant, held commemorative lesson for the 8th grade students on preserving the memory of World War II and the Holocaust.

In addition, on April 16, “Tkuma” Institute staff conducted regional educational seminar for History teachers of Donetsk region, where Iryna Piskariova presented the newest developments of “Tkuma” Institute in the field of the Holocaust education and innovative textbooks on history for the 5th and 10th grade students. V. Rybalka presented the achievements of Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” and how teachers can use these tools during museum and commemorative lessons.

April 17, “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum staff visited Kramatorsk and held lessons of tolerance for students of the 5th grade of secondary schools # 8 and # 16, mobile exhibition presentation for the 11th grade students and commemorative lesson for the 8th grade students.

The events conducted by “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum staff are very important for the educational process in the territory of the Donetsk region.
