During August 22–27, 2017 Odesa region hosted youth summer forum, organized by “Hillel” International Jewish Student Organization. “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum traditionally took part in development and conduction of educational activities.
Iryna Radchenko, “Tkuma” Institute educators and Research Associate, conducted several educational sessions united under the topic “Professions in the Ghetto: Survival? Self-realization? Resistance?”. Participants talked about the peculiarities of the life of Jews in ghetto, the motives of their behavior. Particular attention was paid to the issues of cooperation and resistance in the context of the history of the Holocaust, the attitude of the OUN and UPA towards the Jews. This topic caused a great interest among the young people who took an active part in the discussion.
