PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On January 28, educational events dedicated to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day was held in Odesa. “Beit Grand” Jewish cultural center together with “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies with support of Odesa city council organized an educational seminar for secondary schools students of 9-11th grades.

11th grade students of Mariinska gymnasium and Jewish school №94 (Odesa), as well as activists of the “Derekh” Youth Club participated in this seminar. Valentyn Rybalka, researcher of “Tkuma” Institute presented a report on “The Holocaust in the world history and tolerance study”. Later he held the practical lesson for the 8th grade students of secondary school №52 (Odesa) dedicated to the phenomena of Righteous Among the Nations.

Besides, schoolchildren learned about the work of “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies, Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”, in particular, about the Institute educational projects and program of the next XVI International contest of creative works of school and university students, teachers, and post-graduates “Lessons of the War and the Holocaust – Lessons of Tolerance”.
