PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On June 21, 2017 regular educational seminar for history teachers was conducted by “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies, Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”, and Dnipro Regional Institute of Advanced Teacher Training.

The program of the event included:

- presentation of “Tkuma” Institute educational programs and projects for teachers (organized by Iryna Piskariova, Educational Programs Coordinator);

- guided tour through the Holocaust Museum exhibition (conducted by Dr. Denys Shatalov, Deputy Head of Museum-Research Department);

- discussions on the peculiarities of teaching Holocaust history at school and on problems of reforming the educational system in Ukraine (conducted by Dr. Igor Shchupak, Director of “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum).
