PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On December 22, the Historical webinar of “Tkuma” Institute and Orion Publishing House and the presentation of a new book by Yaroslav Hrytsak "OVERCOMING THE PAST: THE GLOBAL HISTORY OF UKRAINE" were held.

The dialogue with the author was moderated by Dr. Igor Shchupak. The author of the book is Yaroslav Hrytsak, Ukrainian historian, writer, publicist. Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Director of the Institute of Historical Research of Lviv National University, Honorary Professor of National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy, Co-Chair of the German-Ukrainian Historical Commission. Editor-in-Chief of the annual scientific publication “Ukraina Moderna”, member of the editorial board of “Ab Imperio”, “Judaica Ukrainica”, “Critique”, “Slavic Review”, and a member of the supervisory board of “Harvard Ukrainian Studies”.
The book "Overcoming the Past: Global History of Ukraine" was the result of 15 years of work by the historian. The author "dissects" the past and calls for the co-creation of modern Ukraine. He tries to understand himself and give readers an understanding of what and why is happening to us here and now, and what the future may be.
