On February 28 and March 04 public discussion, devoted to Dnipro Street renaming in honor of Yan Khodorovskyi – Righteous among the Nations, who rescued 26 people during the Holocaust was held in Dnipro. The hearings were held at the Shevchenko and Central district city councils.
The renaming process was held within the framework of the program, which contributes that the cities and settlements of the region will have streets named after those who rescued the Jews from the Nazis during World War II. It will be in the locality, which should help popularize local history and formation of local patriotism. Dr. Iegor Vradii, head's assistant on scientific work of «Tkuma» Institute, Valentyn Rybalka, researcher, Dr. Denys Shatalov, head of the museum department took participation in the discussion.
