PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

Aryeh Deri, minister of Internal Affairs of the State of Israel met with Volodymyr Zelensky, president of Ukraine in Kyiv. Arsen Avakov, minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine; Joel Lion, ambassador of the State of Israel in Ukraine; Shmuel Kaminetzki head of the Rabbinical Council of Ukraine, chief rabbi of Dnipro and other officials took part in this meeting. During this meeting, in particular, heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and Israel signed a declaration on cooperation intensification, which should put an end to misunderstanding at border crossing by citizens of both countries.

After his visit to Kyiv, on July 12, Mr. Aryeh Deri came to Dnipro, where he visited the “Menorah” Center and our Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. The guided tour, which was held by Dr. Igor Shchupak, was interesting to Mr. Minister, and apparently opened for him and other guests some new pages on the Jews of Ukraine history.
